White Privilege Symposiums are day-and-a-half regional gatherings held all over the country every year, allowing communities to come together to discuss what white privilege is, how it is systematized in our culture, and how we can work together to eliminate race-based privilege and create more equitable, welcoming communities.

7:00 – 8:00 pm: Keynote: Debby Irving

8:00 – 9:00 pm: Closing Edu-tainment & More Featuring Jasiri X

8:00 – 8:30 am: Official Welcome & Indigenous People’s Land Recognition Statement

8:30 – 9:30 am: Keynote: Jasiri X

9:45 – 11:00 am: Workshop Session #1 (high school students attend the Youth Leadership Project)

11:15 – 12:30 pm: Workshop Session #2 (high school students attend the Youth Leadership Project) 

12:30 – 2:00 pm: Pick up box lunch. Understanding, Respecting & Connecting networking time

2:00 – 3:15 pm: Workshop Session #3

3:30 – 4:30 pm: Keynote: Winona LaDuke

4:30 – 5:15 pm: Reflections, Reactions, Action Planning & More

5:15 – 5:30 pm: Closing

Fees

Friday and Saturday in person or virtual:

  • Adults (Virtual or In-Person) $100
  • College Students (Virtual or In-Person) $75
  • High School Students (In-Person, Youth Action Project) $75

Friday-only for virtual keynote, Debby Irving:

  • Free (virtual only but registration required)

COVID-19 Protocol

A FULL COVID-19 vaccination or negative COVID-19 test result (dated after 5 pm on November 30, 2021 or later) will be required to attend WPS La Crosse in person. If you register to attend in person you can modify it to attend virtually at no charge until December 1, 2021. TPI is committed to family safety, wearing masks, social distancing & sanitizing throughout our events.
