Come learn, laugh, and hang out with Casey Brown!
Casey Brown (Ho-Chunk) is an educator, comedian, musician, acted as Executive Public Relations Officer for the Ho-Chunk Nation and is an Emmy-nominated producer.
Casey is grew up in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, majored in history and American Indian studies at University of Wisconsin at Madison and currently resides in Chicago.
Much of Casey’s work focuses on making history, government and socio-cultural issues engaging to a broader audience. Working as an educator, collaborator and performer, Casey has presented to audiences of all-ages and backgrounds.
As Ho-Chunk Nation Executive Public Relations Officer, Casey advocated for the Truman T. Lowe Center for the Arts at UW-La Crosse and advised the administration on how best to honor the legacy of Truman.
In 2023, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Chicago/Midwest Chapter announced “Exploring the Artistic Process of Truman Lowe: A Journey Through Native American Art & Education” to be nominated in the Arts/Entertainment Short Form category. The video was pitched and co-produced by Casey to honor a distinguished tribal member from his hometown and an academic advisor from UW-Madison.
